About
Shoumik Roychoudhury earned his Ph.D. in Computer science from Temple University in May 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Zoran Obradovic. His research interests lie in the area of Machine Learning and Data Mining. Shoumik's Ph.D. dissertation research focused on developing novel methods for leveraging discriminative short temporal patterns (subsequences) from univariate and multivariate time-series datasets for the time-series classification. Shoumik has various collaborations in multiple projects related to diverse application domains such as health monitoring, event detection, risk assessments in power distribution networks, health informatics, etc. Shoumik is currently exploring deep learning models for modeling sequences of events from sparsely labeled time-series datasets.
